Harmful Chemicals Found In Air Fresheners
If you want to fill your house with the aroma of freshly-baked biscuits, you can bake some of course, or you can spritz the air with chemicals that smell like biscuits.
Yep, one of the leading air freshener manufacturers now offers a line of products that will give your home the holiday scent of your choice: evergreen, spiced apple, or freshly-baked biscuits.
Two questions: 1) Why would you want your house to smell like freshly-baked biscuits if there were no freshly-baked biscuits to eat? And 2) Don't we inhale enough chemicals every day without adding biscuit-scented chemicals to the mix?
Many household products contain solvents called volatile organic compounds (VOCs). And in this case the word 'organic' doesn't imply a health benefit. Far from it.
