You’re lying in the dentist chair, with fingers in your mouth and all kinds of things sucking and drilling.

Let’s face it, it’s hardly a place to start up a conversation. In fact, it would be near impossible.

That’s how they catch you with a sneaky technique that dentists use to beef up their cash flow these days.

Hard to say ‘No’

As it stands, going to the dentist is a costly exercise, so the last thing you need is a dangerous treatment with no benefits.

I’m talking about fluoride treatment.

It’s appropriate that the journal American Chemical Society published this latest fluoride study. After all, this latest fluoride treatment isn’t about dental health. It’s just a scam to sell tons of fluoride.

Fluoride is a natural mineral. But the fluoride they put in water is a by-product of the fertilizer industry. Decades ago, someone got the bright idea to add unusable fluoride to our water supplies. They hyped it as healthy, and a trusting public bought it.

That’s why it’s in our tap water. It’s in our toothpaste. It’s even in some bottled waters. Now, your dentist wants to pile on another pointless layer.

If you manage to decline your dentist’s fluoride treatment, he might mention this study. If he does, he’ll tell you that it proves that fluoride prevents bacteria from sticking to your teeth.

What he won’t mention is that the study didn’t even use real teeth… they used false teeth. So what the study really proves is that fluoride prevents bacteria from sticking to synthetic resin, acrylic and porcelain. Once you’ve highlighted this to your dentist, you can also tell him about the many other downsides of fluoride.

As I’ve mentioned before, excess fluoride causes dental fluorosis. That’s a discolouration of teeth. But it can also cause teeth to pit and crumble. The US Centres for Disease Control (CDC) actually admits that about 40 per cent of US children have some level of dental fluorosis.

That’s insanely ironic! They put stuff in your water to protect your teeth. But you can’t control the dose and an overdose might ruin your teeth.

But that’s not even the worst of it.

Recently, Harvard researchers examined more than two dozen trials that studied cognitive function in children and fluoride exposure. Results show that children who live in high fluoride areas have significantly lower IQ scores than children in low fluoride areas.

Nobody should be surprised. Animal studies already suggest fluoride might be neurotoxic.

It’s pure junk! Any scant benefit is no more useful to you than standard dental hygiene.

If your dentist suggests fluoride treatment, take a cue from France, Italy, Israel, Japan, Holland, Sweden, China, Austria, Germany, and other countries. They all decided not to put fluoride in their water supplies.

Tell your dentist you don’t need it either.

If you want to read more about second-rate dentistry and dental procedures you don’t even need, click here:

What if I told you that there are three dirty little secrets about high cholesterol your doctor probably hasn’t told you about:

1) Lower your cholesterol all you want – you can still have blocked arteries with low cholesterol

2) People with high cholesterol often have no problems with narrowed arteries

3) You can keep your arteries clear and healthy without using a drug

Better than drugs

Plenty of research backs up these three “secrets.” But most people are unaware because drug companies have done an amazing job of selling cholesterol fear.

Of course, they’ve also sold a TON of cholesterol-lowering statin drugs. The great cholesterol con is the most successful swindle in drug history. Big Pharma is literally robbing millions of people, and leave them with their health at GREATER risk.

But there is a safe way to guard your arteries and your heart.

In a new study, researchers recruited 65 middle-aged men with CAC scores of 10 or more. CAC is a “coronary artery calcium” scan. A score of 10 suggests mild to moderate plaque build-up.

For one year, researchers gave the men a placebo, or a combination of CoQ10 and garlic extract. Results showed that C-reactive protein (CRP) went up in the placebo group, and down in the intervention arm.

As I’ve mentioned before, CRP is an inflammation marker. Inflammation is one of the key players in plaque build-up.

Ready for the kicker? Arterial plaque progression was FOUR TIMES higher with placebo compared to the intervention group.

Just imagine if a drug could do that. Drug executives would kill for a product that could get those results.

Too bad for them. They’ll have to rely on natural treatments like the rest of us.

CoQ10, of course, is the super-antioxidant that repairs free-radical damage to the heart muscle. And alternative doctors have known about the heart-health benefits of garlic for eons.

More recently, research shows that red blood cells convert garlic components into a molecule that REDUCES inflammation.

So remember this: Forget statins and reduce inflammation with CoQ10 and garlic extract.

Last week, I told you how the mainstream gives false hope to terminally ill cancer patients by overselling the benefits of chemotherapy. Today, I’m focusing on how the benefits of mammograms are largely exaggerated.

Unfortunately, the mainstream’s misconception (more like blind sidedness) of treating and preventing cancer, particularly breast cancer, does not end there.

For years, we’ve been saying that mammogram screenings for breast cancer detection are ineffective and archaic. Yet, the mainstream is fixed in their view that there are no other choices available for women.

Mammograms: We’re not moving forward

This way of thinking is just plain wrong and to be frank, as a result, thousands of women get false positive results from mammograms. That means unnecessary biopsies, surgeries and other treatments. Also, many women will be over-diagnosed and treated for cancers that are not life threatening.

The truth is if 2,000 women over the age of 50 who are screened every year for a decade, approximately one breast cancer death will be avoided. How’s that an effective method of breast cancer screening?

I’m not the only one asking that question. In a British Medical Journal article, two Dartmouth professors wrote that the benefits of mammograms are exaggerated and that the harmful effects of this procedure are ignored. Of course, they’re talking about the risk of radiation exposure and breast compression, which can prompt the growth of existing tumours.

But no, the mainstream won’t budge despite the evidence mounting against mammograms.

A case in point is a new study where researchers looked at more than 30 years of breast cancer and mammogram data. They came to two clear conclusions…

1) Early detection of breast cancer does not lower the rate of advanced cancers.

2) Doctors misdiagnosed more than one million women during the study period.

But according to Barbara Monsees, the chairwoman of the American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Commission, women really don’t have a choice anyway.

You’d expect that kind of response from an insider deep in the radiology industry, wouldn’t you?

Clearly, Barbara Monsees along with other mainstreamers are in complete denial, because there are alternatives available out there. They either don’t know about them, or they just don’t want to acknowledge or talk about them.

Last year, the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Automated Breast Ultrasound System (ABUS). In ABUS, there’s no breast compression, and ZERO radiation exposure. With a technique called elastography, ultrasound technicians can accurately spot malignant tumours.

Then there’s thermography or thermal imaging, which creates a digital map of your body that illustrates heat patterns. These thermal images are analysed for abnormalities or irregular heat patterns that may signal the onset of disease in your body, like breast cancer.

In some cases, such as inflammatory cancer, there are no lumps to be detected by self-examination or mammograms. Adding thermography to your annual health routine can only increase your chances of detecting breast cancer in its earliest stages.

Unlike most diagnostic tests, thermal imaging is not painful, it’s non-invasive and quick — your multi-image examinations usually take less than 15 minutes. Plus, it makes no contact with your body — no compression and it emits absolutely NO radiation.

Voila! No radiation, no squashing, no mashing and bruising. Early detection, quicker diagnoses and prevention and a healthier happier you.

So the future of breast cancer screening has already arrived and it includes a dramatic reduction in false positives and over diagnosis.

It’s time for the cancer industry to wake up and stop telling patients that they don’t have any other choices.

Cancer is frightening, not just for those diagnosed with the disease but also for their families and loved ones. To witness their pain right up to the end and to see how they suffer the side effects of treatments like chemotherapy, is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

I’ve lost two family members to cancer and to hear that someone you care about has terminal cancer is one of the most difficult things to process.

In a new study, researchers surveyed patients with advanced cancers that had spread to other parts of their body. Doctors considered each of these patients terminal.

Yet, nearly three out of four patients believed their chemotherapy regimen would probably cure them.

So let’s be clear on this: Terminal cancer means there’s no turn around in most cases.

This is why a recent report on the WebMD website about this study really upset me, because it’s downright misleading.

How much comfort from chemo

The WebMD article states that in terminal cancer patients, “chemotherapy can alleviate pain and extend life by weeks or even months.”

Chemo can alleviate pain? Seriously. That’s a stretch!

In some cases, chemotherapy shrinks tumours. That might relieve pain. But there’s another, more common source of cancer pain relief. Painkillers.

World renowned alternative health specialist, Dr. Alan Spreen, says that virtually all advanced cancers cause pain. That’s why doctors almost always give powerful painkillers in these cases.

Meanwhile, chemotherapy invariably degrades quality of life. Pain usually plays a large role in that process.

WebMD‘s second claim is also off the mark. Yes, a few terminal cancer patients may get some extra weeks or months added to their lives, but the opposite is also true in many cases.

Previously, I told you about a review of 600 cases in which cancer patients died within 30 days of receiving chemotherapy. In 40 per cent of these cases, patients experienced “significant poisoning.” Treatment actually accelerated or caused about one-in-four deaths.

Finally, some chemotherapy drugs won’t work at all.

A few years ago, an oncologist examined the medical records of almost 8,000 cancer patients. In cases where patients received chemotherapy in the final six months of their lives, ONE-THIRD had cancers that were unresponsive to chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy is enormously complicated. Every cancer is different. Every chemotherapy regimen is different. There are many ways in which misconceptions can creep in.

So if you ever have to discuss chemotherapy options with a doctor, go on high alert. That might be difficult if you’re sick. So bring someone with you. Record the conversation if you can. Ask as many questions as you can think of. Take notes and don’t be afraid to call your doctor with follow up questions.

If a friend or family member gets a cancer diagnosis, offer to go along for the doctor’s meeting. In fact, insist that they don’t go alone.

The more you know, the better you’ll be able to protect yourself (or a loved one) from misconceptions and from being led down the garden path with empty promises.
