My 9 year old son is recieving physio he is out of allignment and has slight Pectus excavatum (concave chest). When doing the physio noticed that his sternocleidomastoid (on neck below ear) was very dented. I massaged it and now it is very knoted and has slippery knots. I think this muscle is related to the sternum area. He also has binocular instibility and nocturnal enurisis problems. His thoracic spine particularly the right hand side next to spine is also knotted and he has limited movement in his right shoulder. As the bladder meridian starts at corner of eyes, over head, past neck, down back past kidney and bladder down legs and finishes on the pinky toe i wondered if he had a water element weakness (Chinese 5 element theory / acupuncture people may know)? I have had him at a cranio sacral therapist and am considering applied kinseology or Rolfing. What is causing the neck muscle to be weak, is it wasting away? Terrified he has mild myotonic dystrophy or something equally as horrid. Advice appreciated. Lisa x
