My 39yo daughter had to have her thyroid removed 2 yrs ago. She is taking Thyroxine daily although I know she misses taking it sometimes. Since this operation her general health and wellbeing seems to be declining. She is slowly gaining weight, is always feeling tired, suffers loss of enthusiasm, depression, and is showing signs of ageing quickly, for instance her hair is now completely grey, her face is pale and very tired looking and her eyes look a little sunken and have lost their sparkle. I know she still has a little low fat soy milk in her coffee in the morning, and she has to cope with a lot of stress in her job. She is also very sad that she is not married, probably will not ever have any children and suffers from loneliness. She is a very compassionate person and becomes anxious over her friends' problems. I read the articles on hypothyroidism but wondered if the remedies prescribed would be safe for anyone on Thyroxine. Any sensible advice would be appreciated. Pray
