Dear Forum, this is my first post although I have subscribbed to emails for a while now. So Hello to everyone.
I am a 46 yr old woman who, over the past 3 yrs, has been diognosed with more incurable conditions than I thought possible. I feel like giving up.
I have been a type 1 diabetic since the age of 29, although I had to wait nearly 2 yrs for a diognosis so 27 really. All was well, so I thought, untill 3 years ago when I developed autonomic neuropathy, closly followed by peripheral neuropathy.
This was followed by agonising trigeminal neurelgia and fibronuralgia, high blood pressure, high colestral, COPD, HS (which I have had for yrs but has only recently become a problem) and gout. My eyesight has also started to fail and I needed laser surgery for a bleed.
My choices in life now seem very limited, I either live in constant pain (to the extent that I no longer want to live) or I take the drugs offered.
The drugs I have been given do stop the pain, the trouble is they also stop me enjoying life. I feel sooo exhausted, confused, out of sorts and I can not achieve orgasm during sex (important to me).
I am on Gapapentin, amitriptaline, tramadol, oralmorph, ezimide (for colestral) ventolin and long term antibiotics.
Now just to top things off my stomach has stopped emptying properly (due to the autonomic), more test to follow.
Cannibis does help a lot but as Im in the UK it is illigal and hard to get not to mention it is expensive and I am having to live on benifits.
I feel like throwing the lot out the window but Im scared if I do that I will end up throwing myself under a train due to unbearable non-stop pain.
Should I just give up? I certainly feel like it sometimes. Guess I am lucky that I dont suffer depression, one miracal at least.

Hi Alandra, Have you ever considered being tested for candida? As a diabetic you may be prone to getting it (I am Type 1 diabetic and have had candida more than once). It's worth looking up the symptoms at least as it can cause all sorts of nasty problems. I truly hope you find relief from your symptoms as I have been in a similar place and I know it's not pleasant All the best Renny http://www.candidasymptomstreatment.com
