New All-Natural Nasal Spray Prevents Germs From Getting Back In Your Sinus
There are tons of allergy remedies out there to try, but theres one critical step in relieving your symptoms that the majority of them leave out: cleaning out the dust and other debris that has built up in your nasal passages to begin with. Not only does this help you breathe easier, but it also gets rid of the triggers that have been stuck there causing problems.
Its not that these products dont already exist youve probably seen nasal sprays and washes in your local pharmacy. The problem is, theyre often very diluted and not that effective letting your symptoms return soon after you use them. Plus, many of them carry a risk of addiction your symptoms keep returning, so you keep using the product. Eventually, your sinuses get used to the spray and need more and more of it to get any sort of relief.
But weve tracked down an all-natural version of these remedies called ENTsol thats not only 12 times stronger but also much gentler.
ENTsol's formula gets better results than regular remedies
Mary Jane Decker at Kenwood Therapeutics (ENTsols manufacturer) describes how ENTsol works. She explained that it gently cleanses the mucous membranes and nasal passages to help treat sinusitis, allergies/rhinitis, postnasal drip, congestion, and recurrent sinus headaches.
So what sets this product apart from all the other similar remedies? Apparently, its the formula itself. ENTsol is a hypertonic solution that contains three per cent sodium chloride (salt). Not many others are hypertonic solutions most saline nasal washes are isotonic. The difference is that an isotonic solution has a salt content of less than one per cent, while hypertonic solutions have a salt content of over one per cent.
Hypertonic solutions have the ability to reduce the swelling of your nasal walls by drawing out the excess water from within the walls of your nasal passages. This helps open up your nasal passageways, unclogging your nose and letting you breathe easier. Hypertonic solutions also increase ciliary flow (the movement of dirt, bacteria and other debris through the nose) 12 times more than isotonic solutions. 1
Your nasal passage is lined with tiny hair-like fibres called cilia. When theyre abundant and in good working order they work together to keep your nasal passage clean and healthy by moving debris out. But damage to this transport system leads to congestion and infection.
One study that specifically examined the effects of a three per cent buffered (coated to neutralize stomach acid) hypertonic saline solution vs. a one per cent solution on mucociliary clearance (the removal of mucus and other material from the airways by the cilia) found that 71 per cent of patients in the hypertonic group showed improved mucociliary clearance rates versus 48 per cent improvement in the isotonic group. 2
Your current cure could be making things worse
While ENTsols manufacturer offers a complete line of buffered hypertonic nasal wash products, the most impressive are two: the nasal spray and their latest addition a nasal gel.
The spray uses a patented nozzle that prevents backwash and product contamination. Traditional spray bottles suck germs back into the bottle every time you use them. If the bottle pulls germs into it, it has to spray them back out again. And the next time you spray it, its usually back into your nose.
So, in essence, your cure could actually be re-infecting you every time you use it. ENTsols bottle doesnt have this vacuum action and users claim its really simple and gentle. Just tilt your head slightly, insert the nozzle into one nostril, lightly press down on the applicator with your finger, and then repeat the process in the other nostril. (You should wipe off tip after use.) One definite plus reported: You dont get that dripping rebound of other sprays. Its suggested use is two to six times daily.
ENTsol nasal gel stands out because it offers relief for those who just dont like the feeling of nasal sprays and there arent a whole lot of options out there that do that. You simply apply it around your nostrils, under your nose, and just inside your nostrils during the day and at bedtime. It comes in a small tube thats easily transportable in a pocket or purse.
ENTsol can be used regularly as a preventive and maintenance regime.
