Correct a blood sugar imbalance and prevent diabetes-related complications like heart disease

Maybe youve been told you have insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, or the ominous-sounding Syndrome X.

Maybe youve been told you have insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, or the ominous-sounding Syndrome X. Or maybe youve already crossed the line into Type II diabetes. Whatever your doctor calls it, it means that your body is having a hard time maintaining normal blood glucose levels and your system is giving you a warning to act now before things get worse.

Its important to heed this warning as Type II diabetes can eventually put you at risk of developing serious complications like heart disease, kidney disease, nerve damage and vision loss.

With the early stages of Type II diabetes and its subset of precursor conditions, your pancreas ability to produce insulin (a hormone that regulates your blood sugar levels) isnt completely gone; its just dysfunctional and fortunately there are things you can do to correct it. This includes taking a new supplement called GlucoCare that is made up of a blend of Ayurvedic (ancient Indian) herbs, all of which have a long history of use when it comes to regulating blood sugar levels.

Diabetes drugs dont work and can be dangerous
Youve heard it a hundred times: The first line of defence against diabetes is losing weight, adopting a healthy diet, and exercising regularly. Sometimes thats enough on its own; in fact, just over a couple of years ago the New England Journal of Medicine published a study that showed lifestyle changes can slash your chances of developing Type II diabetes by more than half.1

But what if diet and exercise arent enough? Sure, there are prescription drugs you can take to control your blood sugar level. But the fact is, drugs just dont work for a lot of people. According to one study, about 15-20 per cent of patients with newly diagnosed Type II diabetes dont respond to sulphonylureas, the class of drugs used to regulate blood sugar. And over time, about 5 per cent of patients will eventually grow resistant to these drugs.2

However, even if they do work theyre not necessarily safe. According to the same study cited above, sulphonylurea drugs are the major cause of severe drug-induced hypoglycaemia necessitating hospitalisation.

Despite this less than stellar track record, Type II diabetes drugs are one of the most widely prescribed drug classes. Thats probably because theyre an easy solution. And because most doctors dont know about the safe, natural alternatives for their patients with problematic blood sugar issues.

Ancient Indian secrets to controlling blood sugar levels naturally
Ayurvedic herbs offer some promising alternatives to sulphonylurea drugs. GlucoCare combines over 25 Ayurvedic herbs which have been traditionally used to regulate blood sugar metabolism, benefits which are now confirmed by scientific research including:
Bitter gourd, or bitter melon. HSI featured a report on this commonly used Ayurvedic treatment for high blood sugar back in January 2002.

Scientists have isolated a hypoglycaemic peptide called polypeptide-p from its fruit, seeds, and skin and found that it can lower raised blood sugar levels in animals.3 One study showed that a specific variety of bitter gourd, called cerasee, cut blood sugar levels in half after just five hours.4

Researchers at Sri Venkateswara University in India reported that after 15 days of treatment with bitter gourd, a significant reduction was observed in fasting blood glucose levels. Cholesterol and triglyceride levels also declined.5

Bitter melons benefits in this area arent just confined to animals. In a study, glucose tolerance was improved in 73 per cent of type II diabetic patients given 2oz of bitter melon juice.6 In another study, 15 grams of the aqueous extract of bitter melon produced a 54 per cent decrease in post-prandial (occurring after eating) blood sugar in six patients.7

Gymnema sylvestre is another common Ayruvedic herb present in GlucoCare thats well known for its ability to fight diabetes. Modern studies have revealed that an extract from the leaves of this plant may actually be able to help regenerate or repair beta cells which produce insulin.

In one study, 22 Type II diabetes patients took 400mg of a gymnema sylvestre extract a day for 18 to 20 months in conjunction with conventional oral anti-hyperglycaemic drugs. The researchers reported that the patients showed a significant reduction in blood glucose... and conventional drug dosage could be decreased. Five of the participants were able to discontinue their conventional drug therapy altogether and maintain normal blood sugar control with gymnema alone.8

Pitasara also has some impressive research findings behind it. In an animal study, administration of a water-based pitasara extract effectively lowered blood glucose levels by 60 per cent after just 30 days. Another study showed that specific flavanoids in pitasara can also lower total cholesterol, HDL and triglycerides important markers to watch considering the link between Type II diabetes and heart disease.9

Ocimum Sanctum (which literally means holy basil) can lower fasting and post-prandial (after eating a meal) blood glucose levels. In a placebo-controlled human study, Type II diabetes patients treated with holy basil extract saw their fasting blood glucose fall by almost 18 per cent from baseline levels, while the control group experienced no significant change.10

Eugenia jambolana the seed and fruit pulp of this plant can also lower raised blood sugar levels. A recent study, involving animals with varying degrees of diabetes, showed a 12 per cent drop in fasting blood glucose levels after just one day of treatment with eugenia. After 15 days of treatment, those animals with mild diabetes had fasting blood glucose levels 41 per cent lower than they were at the start of the study.11

Several published studies have shown that GlucoCare can effectively lower blood glucose, reduce dependence on prescription diabetes drugs, and prevent complications of diabetes like diabetic retinopathy one of the leading causes of blindness.12-14

What to take for best results
The recommended dosage for GlucoCare is one tablet taken twice a day with meals. Please be aware that it can take several weeks before improvements are experienced. If you are already take a prescription drug to lower your blood sugar, it is important that you talk to your doctor before taking GlucoCare.
