Today I saw my doctor at the anti coagulant clinic and asked him about the effect of Statins on the heart muscles. His answer was that statins did act on skeletal muscles not heart muscles. Can you comment on this?

Administrator Posted 07/09/2010

Statins inhibit the production of CoQ10 - an enzyme known as the 'spark of life' in every cell of your boddy. The inhibition of CoQ10 causes structural muscle damage...

My reasoning tells me that this damage happens to every muscle in the body. The heart is a muscle...

Perhaps you will do better by speaking to a different doctor. One who is prepared to have an informative discussion with you...

Also, feel free to use our keyword search option on this site to search for our articles on statins and their effects on your health.
