It’s not just bodybuilders and fitness fanatics that use protein shakes. Tests conducted by Consumer Reports, in the US, showed that out of the 15 protein shakes tested, three of them contained very worrisome levels of arsenic, cadmium and lead.


A review published in 2009 in The European Journal of Psychiatry, which examined 12 observational studies, 29 case-reports and one review-article, found evidence that low potency antipsychotic drugs (antidepressants) like chlorpromazine, thioridazine, and clozapine have an increased risk of blood clots - venous thromboembolism (VTE).


In clinical trials evaluating the effectiveness of naltrexone, patients who received naltrexone were twice as successful in remaining abstinent and in avoiding relapse as patients who received placebo. Some of us may experience a bit of over-indulgence during the festive season, but for others however, alcohol is a massive destructive problem in their lives and dealing with alcohol addiction is a persistent obstacle.


Plato's remark that "Even the gods love jokes." must be correct. The value of laughter is recorded in sacred scripture, for example the Koran states: "He deserves Paradise who makes his companions laugh."


Recently the newspapers again warned against the effects of binge-drinking. To be more accurate: ‘Urgent action is needed to prevent Britain heading for a dementia epidemic caused by the nation's binge-drinking culture, experts have warned.’


If I told you there was a therapy that had been shown to relieve depression while also improving blood sugar control in type 2 diabetics, would you be interested?

What if I told you the side effects of this non-drug therapy were minimal and the cost was within easy reach of virtually every budget would you be interested then?

And if I told you this therapy was chocolate, would you faithfully walk down to your local newsagents every day, purchase a box of chocolates, walk home, and eat them?

If you answered yes, then just follow the regimen described above, leave out the chocolate, and you'll be on your way to improved health guaranteed.
