Vaccines: Will We Ever Know the Whole Truth?
Date: 04/06/10
Let’s be honest, the last few mass vaccination attempts were a complete failure and it’s rather sinister that a pro- vaccination ad should appear in a mainstream publication...
It’s 8am in the morning, the trains to London are packed with commuters and everyone onboard is minding their own business, flicking through the morning papers or listening to music on their iPods... an every day scene in one of the busiest cities in the world...
To make the commute more bearable, a free newspaper is available at most train stations. It’s an easy read, designed to be read in 20 minutes and it has an estimated 1.7 million daily readers.
Resorting to desperate measures...
So, you can imagine my 'horror', while flicking through my free newspaper, when I saw a blatant quarter-page advertisement explaining the ‘benefits’ of vaccinations!!!
It’s almost as if the looming presence of the ‘Vaccine Monster’ is not allowed to escape our minds... and 1.7 million members of Joe-public are reminded of this first thing in the morning.
Do I need to remind you of the 2009 Swine Flu pandemic (which never happened) and the stock-loads of vaccines governments across the world ordered and failed to use because people were sceptical about its safety?
Let’s see, prior to Swine Flu there was the ‘global threat’ of Bird Flu... which, yep you’ve got it, did not exactly materialise... And those stock-piles of Tamiflu which almost ran past their expiry date were suddenly hailed as a ‘saving grace’ against Swine Flu H1N1...
Let’s be honest, the last few mass vaccination attempts were a complete failure and it’s rather sinister that a pro- vaccination ad should appear in a mainstream publication, prompting a reminder which could easily have read: Hey guys, we know all is well now but you never know what’s going happen... please help us to use up our surplus stock of vaccines!
Selective information
Here’s what got to me the most:
‘Although most vaccines can cause serious side effects, they occur very rarely and the benefits outweigh the risks.’
Those are carefully chosen words and if you read the advertisement further, you will find nothing about the 11,900 girls and young women who reported adverse events after receiving the Gardasil cervical cancer vaccine. These side effects included paralysis, coma, seizures and more... Nothing was mentioned either about people who developed Guillain-Barré Syndrome after receiving the Swine Flu vaccine back in 1976.
Then there’s Tamiflu - promoted as being able to alleviate the symptoms of Swine Flu... it had some bad press not too long ago. When the dangers of this drug came to light in 2007, the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finally began investigating some 1,800 reported adverse events that were experienced following its use.
Serious side effects of Tamiflu include convulsions, delirium or delusions, and 14 deaths in children and teens occured as a result of neuropsychiatric problems and brain infections (which led Japan to ban Tamiflu for children in 2007). All of that from a drug that, when used as directed, only reduces the duration of influenza symptoms by 1 to 1 ½ days at most, according to official data.
It’s rather uncanny that this information is not included in the pro-vaccine advertisement. Nope. We all need to simply take note that the benefits of vaccines outweigh the risks...
Safety concerns
Read further and you’ll find this little nugget of ‘misinformation':
‘All new vaccines are tested very carefully before they are licensed for general use.’
You bet they are!
Back to the 2009 Swine Flu pandemic and the fast tracked vaccine that was developed by Baxter: Normally it takes about 26 weeks (6 months) to develop a vaccine, but Baxter International (a pharmaceutical giant and major player in the race for a H1N1 vaccine) announced on 12 June 2009, it had a patented cell-based technology which reduces the development time to 13 weeks, and was ready to complete their development of the vaccine in August 2009...
Oh, hang on, I nearly forgot: In response to the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Phase 6 alert level to the outbreak of the H1N1 pandemic, the US Centres for Disease Control (CDC) declared the H1N1 flu pandemic a public health emergency, which allowed the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to authorise drug companies to “fast track” experimental vaccines. Meaning the new vaccines weren’t tested as thoroughly as vaccines which move through the normal licensing (and developing) process... and they wondered why so many of us (including doctors and nurses) refused to take the vaccine being offered?
In the wake of the H1N1 vaccine debacle, this is what a leading UK newspaper had to say: ‘The path of a popular medicine from the laboratory to the chemist or doctor’s surgery can involve years of clinical trials on a select group of patients.
When the new vaccine for Swine Flu arrives in Britain, regulators said this weekend [12.07.09], it could be approved for use in just five days.’
Five days!?
Don’t get me wrong, I am all for informing and educating the public. But certainly, health officials and vaccine manufacturers must realise by now that the public has seen too many ‘pandemic virus threats’ that panned out to be nothing short of suspicious.
It’s like crying wolf – at some point Joe-public is simply not going to budge. Can anyone blame us for seeing advertisements like this as a badly-disguised attempt to warm us up for yet another ‘pandemic’ and more bodged vaccines?
